During my B.F.A studies I deepened my knowledge of middle age and Baroque paintings which captured my heart and mind and influence and inspire my work.

I have always been drawn to the underworld, and Vanitas art. To me a skull is of perfect form. At the same time Judaism is a significant part of my life, and my culture. Biblical stories (The Old Testament) fascinate me, as well as physical elements from the Judaic world, whether it be jewelry, Jewish ceremonial art, decorative patterns as can be seen on holy book, carpets, and decorative fabrics. Like Vanitas, Jewish imagery is very specific. Vanitas comes from Christianity which is visual images based. Judaism, while having visual images, is text based.

From these I strive to find my interpretation and intertwine them into my point of view.

The second principle that guides me is my emphasis on romantic esthetic and colourfulness both on the finish of the piece and colour.
